Casper Labs is a tactile environment for new ideas
and disruptions in product design, physicalizing the
company's ethos of innovation through making. This
R&D shop space is draped in perforated, corrugated
metal that fluctuates as opaque boundary and porous
threshold; creating spaces for focused thinking and
opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

PROJECT PODS
Project rooms sit in the middle of the space, covered in pin-up walls for project teams to ideate and develop new product ideas.

A FLEX SPACE
Open spaces, though meant for all-hands meetings and informal gatherings, double as product presentation space. Since the company works with large scale objects (ie. mattresses), each square foot is valuable.
AN ART PRODUCT
The Pillow Cloud is a custom installation that hangs above the commons where all-hands meetings are held. 117 Casper Pillowcases are handsewn together, tessellating to create a flickering field of glowing light and soft shadows. Pillow Cloud floats above Casper Labs as designers dream of the company's next big thing in sleep.
